MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD

The efforts of the Greenwood Chamber of Commerce are directed towards activities that will have a positive impact on the economic, political and social issues and area in the community where our resources, talents, and skills can make a difference. Through the programs and services of the Greenwood Chamber of Commerce that objective is and will continue to be the promotion of the development, growth and expansion of minority owned and small businesses within the community.

The vision for North Tulsa must embody a strong sense of community; a proud, distinct presence for the culture and history of the community, a thriving, honest, neighborhood economy with locally owned shops, restaurants and other businesses; an abundant selection of recreational activities for children of all ages; stable homes and strong families; plentiful jobs and opportunities for quality education.

MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

There is much discussion throughout the City of Tulsa concerning the revitalization of North Tulsa. Many concerns have been expressed regarding the timing of revitalization activities being long overdue. However, the issue now from the Greenwood Chamber of Commerce’s point of view is one of inclusion. This is the opportune time for our community to come together and work for a common vision, which must include being a part of the economic activity that is about to take place in North Tulsa.

The GCC has been building bridges, mending fences and actively involving citizens throughout the city in an ongoing effort to improve the quality of life and empower the minority residents within our city.

Help us shift the paradigm and rebuild our community, one business and one job at a time. These are exciting times, and we need you to get involved in the Greenwood Chamber of Commerce’s aggressive approach to revitalize North Tulsa.
